Monday Blues

Well, it's Monday. Another day of packing and getting ready for my upcoming move. I've narrowed down my job search and whether I chose to stay with my current employer or receive/accept one of the job's that I've interviewed for, I'll be moving to a new state. A big part of my decision to start looking for other employment involved my desire to live in certain locations. While Oklahoma is nice, I still prefer the climate & land geography in other regions. I prefer mountains or beaches to prairies & rolling hills. I've grown up with prairie lands, and while I loved it then, I am ready for a permanent change. Luckily I've traveled extensively with my employment and I have a good feel for where I would be happy. In another two weeks, I shall've made my decision and started the journey of establishing my new life. In other news, I went golfing with my father this weekend (actually I just drove the golf cart around and watched the wildlife while he played) & got a little sunburned. I've got to start remembering the sunscreen! I know there's nothing exciting & there's no valuable in-sights on this page yet, but I am saving all of the serious banter for after I am settled in my new location. Later....

A Labrats Journey

A Labrats Journey: "forth. To everyone who is thinking about me thanks, I am fine. They said if I get "
Found an interesting & sad blog today. A Navy Corpsman who had to leave her son & husband while she is called to duty. She is asking for people to sign her up for care packages and mail. I am going to do some searches so I can see about helping out. You should check out her web journal, she has some links to sites that help soldiers out with mail and care packages. It's got to be lonely on the other side of the world right now. My heart goes out to everyone on duty.

Blah....Blah....

Well, not a lot going on today. Taking it easy. I watched Survivor last night. I had a hard keeping my attention on the TV though. It is just too nice outside to sit indoors and watch TV. I think I'll take the dogs to the lake today. That sounds like a good idea!

Welcome to my world!

My first post on the blog! Well, it is actually way to busy of a time in my life to be starting a blog, but I will try to keep it updated as often as I can. I am at a big stepping off point in my life & I have a lot going on and a lot of decisions to make of late. I am wanting to change employment. Not change careers-I thoroughly enjoy what I do-but change companies. My company sends me all over the United States to fulfill contracts and sometimes I must stay in these places for one or two years, or sometimes for only a few weeks. I am really tired of all the traveling. I would like to settle down in a community where I know my neighbors and where I can actually have a garden or maybe a fish tank! I wouldn't mind traveling for a week or two at a time, maybe once every few months, but this constant traveling has grown old after many years of doing it. So on my quest for the perfect company, I have done three phone interviews and I am scheduled to fly out, once again to another state, for a fourth interview in a few weeks. I am really hoping this last interview goes well. I feel it will be the perfect spot for me! I'll post more once I find out the good news. I miss the days of being young and applying for a single job and getting the job right away. It seems that the better a job you are qualified for, the more lengthy and tedious the process is in getting the job and deciding if the offer you get is really what you want!

On a side note: SURVIVOR: VANUATU starts tonight. I enjoy Survivor simply because I prefer to have only one night a week that is devoted to mainly TV watching and Thursdays are a good night for that. Survivor & CSI. (I do watch other shows on other nights, but Survivor & CSI are really the only ones I try to watch every week-I try to stay active and not turn into a couch potato).

Back to life outside the internet.....Many things to do....Until next time......
